So why Piccola?

Our children’s shops have been open for nearly fifty years now, so you know that when you buy from us you are shopping with a company that has stood the test of time.

We’ve been around for so long because we treat every single customer with honesty and fairness - our reputation has been built on ensuring that everyone who buys something from Piccola walks away happy, having bought the best gift they possibly can for their children.

It’s a simple formula, that’s enabled us to have happy customers since 1966.

How can Piccola offer me a better shopping experience?

If you take some time to have a browse you’ll see that we are trying to do things differently.

Many of our toys, clothes and gifts are not found in other people’s shops or websites, simply because our buyers have made the effort to travel all over the world in search of something unique.

This year alone we have been to industry fairs in London, Paris, New York, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Nuremberg and Cologne, and by doing this we have been able to bring our customers brilliant products that you can’t easily buy elsewhere – in fact, Piccola is the only UK stockist of some of the brands you can find on our website.

We make the extra effort not just because we want to offer our customers the very best products on the planet, but also because we can’t see the point in just doing what everyone else does.

What if I buy something from you and it's faulty?

As long as we can see that it was bought from us, we’ll either replace it or give you a refund. Please call our Customer Service Hotline to discuss how we can help in these circumstances. The number is: 01277 224 973

What happens if I just change my mind?

As long as the product is returned to us within 30 days of purchase, unused, in perfect condition, in the original packaging and with the tags still on, we’ll be happy to do a refund.

How will it help me to set up a customer account with Piccola..?

By setting up an account with us it means you’ll be able to login to the site and buy anything you want, without having to input your address and card details every time you want to buy something.

It also means we can recognise you as a customer, and so reflect your loyalty to us by making sure you are first to know about any special offers that are available.

We never pass on your details to anyone else, so no horrible spam.

To open an account just use the Sign In link on our home page and choose the Why Not Register option.

What happens if I forget my user name or password?

Your user name is always your email address. If you can’t remember your password just click on the Sign In link on our home page, and then use the Forgotten Your Password link at the bottom of the I Am A Returning Customer section.

What if I need some help and advice on sizing or some more information on a product?

There’s a size guide on this website with some valuable information about the brands we work with and their sizing.

We also have a customer service hotline to our Brentwood branch, where our knowledgeable and experienced staff can help you during our shop opening hours of 9.30 – 5.30 (10.00 – 4.00 on Sundays).

If you need to speak to us outside of those hours, just leave us a message and we’ll call you as soon as we are back in again.

Do you ship internationally?

Piccola is a UK based company, and at this stage, we are set up to provide online shopping to our customers in Great Britain, through our distribution partners Parcelforce.

We may be able to ship to other territories, so if you’d like to buy something from us from outside the UK, please contact us on our hotline, and we’ll endeavour to help in any way we can. The number is: 01277 224 973

Please note that if you are buying from outside the European Union you may have to pay duty or meet the requirements of your local Customs Authority on our goods landing in your country. If you are unsure about this we recommend you contact your country’s Customs Office.

Why do you have girl and boy categories, shouldn’t toys just be toys?

Our ethos has always been that toys should be played with in any way that children want to.

While we see no reason whatsoever why boys shouldn’t enjoy play cooking and girls shouldn’t be pirates, the products we sell in some categories are overwhelmingly bought by people shopping for boys, or for girls.

So we offer the opportunity for customers to search by sex to make it easier to find what they’re looking for.
